Mataram, December 14, 2024 – The Language Support Unit (UPA Bahasa) of Universitas Mataram (UNRAM) held its Annual Work Plan Meeting (RRKT) at Lesehan Ayang Asri, Lingsar, on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM WITA. This meeting brought together key members of the UPA Bahasa UNRAM team, including administrative, financial, and front office staff, tutors, division coordinators, as well as the Head and Secretary of UPA Bahasa UNRAM.

The meeting commenced with an opening speech by the Head of UPA Bahasa, Mrs. Boniesta Zulandha Melani (Mrs. Bonies), who emphasized the importance of evaluating 2024 programs and formulating strategic plans for 2025. Division coordinators—representing Material Development & Testing, Courses & Instructors, Bilingualization & Translation, Quality Assurance & Public Relations, and General Administration & Finance—presented reports detailing achievements, challenges, and critical issues requiring attention to improve outcomes in the coming year. The evaluation session concluded with a communal meal, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
The next session focused on tutors, addressing critical issues such as payment systems and tutor rates. Tutors actively voiced their hopes for rate adjustments and salary increases. Responding to these concerns, Mrs. Bonies assured participants of efforts to adjust tutor salaries in 2025, in accordance with applicable regulations, as an acknowledgment of their invaluable contributions to UPA Bahasa. This interactive session also allowed tutors to share feedback on work systems and welfare, demonstrating UPA Bahasa’s commitment to continuous improvement for tutor welfare and morale.

The event was moderated by Ms. Nana, a front office staff member and part of the public relations division of UPA Bahasa UNRAM. Ms. Nana’s lively yet professional approach kept the atmosphere vibrant and engaging throughout the lengthy meeting.
Adding to the excitement was the UPA Bahasa Awards ceremony, recognizing the hard work of divisions and individuals. Awards were presented in categories such as Most Productive Division, Best Report Division, Most Outstanding Division, Most Productive Tutor, and several others for tutors and staff. This recognition served as a testament to the dedication of UPA Bahasa members in supporting the success of 2024 programs.
The meeting was not merely a platform for evaluation but also an opportunity to develop more robust plans for 2025. With solid collaboration among staff, tutors, and management, UPA Bahasa is prepared to face future challenges and enhance its service quality.
