Mataram, University of Mataram – (Friday, July 9, 2024) The Academic Language Support Unit of the University of Mataram received a visit from the Language Support Unit of the University of Tanjungpura in the office of the Head of the Academic Language Support Unit. The delegation from the University of Tanjungpura was represented by the Head of the Language Support Unit, Stella Prancisca, M.Pd, along with three staff members.
Stella Prancisca conveyed that the purpose of the visit to the Academic Language Support Unit of the University of Mataram was to exchange information regarding the programs and language development services offered by both institutions and to establish a positively synergistic collaboration. During the dialogue, she provided information concerning various partnership programs held by the Language Support Unit of the University of Tanjungpura with several foreign embassies in Indonesia, including the American Corner, Japan Corner, and the Confucius Institute. This information encompassed application requirements, benefits, and collaborations established with partner foreign institutions.
Boniesta Zulandha Melani, S.Pd., M.A., Ph.D., the Head of the Academic Language Support Unit of the University of Mataram, added that the dialogue between the two institutions provided insights and aspirations for determining the steps that UPA Bahasa UNRAM should take to become a more competent Language Service Unit, thereby offering greater benefits to the community. Through this dialogue, she also expressed the possibility of establishing collaborative programs that would foster mutual symbiosis between the two institutions. This program will be discussed further in the future after identifying potential areas for collaboration.
