As the final stage of the IELTS Preparation program for Poltekkes Mataram students, an exciting event called IELTS Prediction was held. The main objective? To assess students’ readiness in English proficiency! This activity was not only designed to prepare them for the test but also to boost the confidence of students, particularly those in the International Class of the Applied Nursing Bachelor Program, in facing the IELTS exam—an essential requirement for further education and career opportunities in the international arena.
The IELTS Preparation program was a collaboration between the University of Mataram (UNRAM) through UPA Bahasa and Poltekkes Mataram. This program provided students with a comprehensive preparation experience, focusing on the four key language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The IELTS Preparation classes were taught by experienced and highly competent tutors from UPA Bahasa, namely Mr. Iman and Ms. Selma. The IELTS Prediction test conducted at the end of the program served as a simulation of the actual exam, helping students identify their strengths and the areas that needed improvement before taking the real IELTS test.
This program is expected to help students achieve higher IELTS scores while enhancing their competitiveness in the international job market. Mastering English not only prepares students for studying abroad but also makes them more competitive in the global workforce. Moreover, this program aligns with Poltekkes Mataram’s mission to produce graduates who excel not only in the healthcare field but also in international communication skills.
