About Us

As a language academic support unit, we are at the forefront of language development and learning.

History

First established as the Language Laboratory of Mataram University in 1975, twelve years after the establishment of Mataram University with Drs. Abdul Karim Sahidu as the first person to be assigned as chairman. In 1992 the position of chairman was handed over to Drs. M. Husni Mu’adz, M.A., Ph.D. In this second leadership era, the Language Laboratory changed into the Center for Language and Culture Studies (PSBK). Since then, the activities carried out have not only provided language services but have also begun to develop in research in the fields of language, teaching and culture.

To support efforts to improve the quality of human resources (HR), especially the graduates it produces, Mataram University has taken the initiative to improve the function and role of the Language Laboratory, especially in the language service program.
